Discipleship
Pathway

1. Transforming Presence Acts 1:8 / John 15:1-14 (Be With Jesus)

Only God can change a life. So we want to create a life of encounter. This is where we continually allow the transforming presence of God to work in our lives wherever we are. This happens through the personal presence of God and the corporate presence of God.

2. Intentional Formation Romans 12:2 (Become Like Jesus)

We want to be formed in the image of Jesus. This requires a counter-formation from the world around us. If we want to have the life of Jesus, we must adopt the lifestyle of Jesus.

3. Sacrificial Service Matt 16:24-26 / 1 Cor 9:22-23 / Mark 10:42-45 (Live For Jesus)

We are called to live on mission. Jesus gave Himself fully to us and we want to do the same for the sake of others...Until the whole world hears.

Discipleship Imbalance

Our discipleship to Jesus must impact every aspect of our lives. When we lean too much into one area, we will become imbalanced. A consumer Christian is all about self-help and personal growth. The social activist forgets about God and only looks to make an impact. The shallow servant hasn’t been transformed by the renewing of their mind. We want a robust faith that transforms every area of our life.

Join the life of Calvary

The discipleship pathway is not linear, but like circles, something we continually live in. This is simply a way for you to find yourself within this church family of Calvary Chapel and continue to grow here. Our invitation is for you to see these as resources to help you follow Jesus and to get integrated in to the life of our church.
